Ayers and Wright are legitimate issues. Of course they need to be presented in the context of a larger message as to what McCain wants to do on the economy, but it’s not an “either/or” message, the message can be “all of the above”.

Um, the SOUTH lost the Civil War. There was a peace treaty signed and there were punative measurements.

What was Ayers’ punishment again? He is proud of what he did, he wishes he’d done more, and has said he could see resorting to such action again.

It's really infuriating when those who you think are on our side start waving the white flag.

Barry wasn't 8 yrs old when he launched his political career him Ayres home!

Barry wasn't 8 yrs old, when Ayres put him in charge Anneneburge!

Barry was 8 yrs old when he sat on the same board or boards as Ayers!

Barry wasn't 8 yrs ole when Ayres wrote his infamous 9-11 NYTimes article w/ that picture of him standing on the US flag.

What is it will these Beltway Pundits? All just one big social club!

“Look, the Democrats paid a richly deserved price for embracing the America-hating scum of the 60s”

What price did they pay? They own Congress, the editorialship of the MSM, the anchors’ desks, the education establishment.

WHAT price did they pay again?

If it is time to stop fighting the war against 1960s and 1970s Communists, I guess that it must be time to stop fighting against all Communists.

Embrace Marxism now. < /s >

Walter Williams says that the history shows that secession was legal once and illegal once.

But LEAVING the nation is not the same as attempting to overthrow the nation’s government on behalf of a FORIEGN POWER IN A TIME OF WAR.

If the Confederates had sought to overthrow the DC government (rather than establish their own over their member states) then you’d have a point.

Sedition and treason aren’t always the same thing.

Here’s something else wierd: Rick Ayers (Bill’s brother), who was ALSO part of SDS and the Weather Underground and who is currently ALSO part of Ayer’s subvert-education “Small Schools” project, finally got his Masters from a small college known as Mills College in 1997. Guess who ALSO graduated with a BA from Mills in 1997? Vera Baker.

Gee, I wonder what unknown stranger from the neighborhood introduced Obama to Baker??

And who wins, and the motivation behind it.

Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.

Again, the Confederates considered themselves another nation. It would be like saying Japan committed treason against the US in WWII.

So to you pantywaists at National Review

Um, excuse me but NO ONE other than Stanley Kurtz, contributing editor of NATIONAL REVIEW, did ANY investigating of what Obama and Ayers were actually doing with all that money in the Annenberg fund. (some credit should also go to Steve Diamond at globallabor.blogspot.com.)

Obama's flacks fought him every step of the way and tried to (and may have) scrubbed the documents for information that was most damaging to Obama.

While the rest of the press went dumpster-diving in Alaska and is now trying to destroy Joe the Plumber, Stanley Kurtz did the heavy lifting of overturning the rocks at Annenburg to see what was underneath.

Wright 101 -- Obama funded extremist Afrocentrists who shared Rev. Wright’s anti-Americanism

By Stanley Kurtz

It looks like Jeremiah Wright was just the tip of the iceberg. Not only did Barack Obama savor Wright’s sermons, Obama gave legitimacy — and a whole lot of money — to education programs built around the same extremist anti-American ideology preached by Reverend Wright. And guess what? Bill Ayers is still palling around with the same bitterly anti-American Afrocentric ideologues that he and Obama were promoting a decade ago. All this is revealed by a bit of digging, combined with a careful study of documents from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, the education foundation Obama and Ayers jointly led in the late 1990s.

John McCain, take note. Obama’s tie to Wright is no longer a purely personal question (if it ever was one) about one man’s choice of his pastor. The fact that Obama funded extremist Afrocentrists who shared Wright’s anti-Americanism means that this is now a matter of public policy, and therefore an entirely legitimate issue in this campaign.

So if Terry Nichols gets out of jail he’d be a good person to work in the education field in Chicago?

The marxists are winning on many fronts, and use guilty white PC ‘conservatives’ to help shield them from scrutiny.

I agree with everything that you said. David Frum must have a vested interest in defending Ayres. That’s the only thing that makes any sense of his rationale.

No, Frum is one of those “high minded” conservatives that thinks you can win with esoteric arguments alone.

Meanwhile, ACORN is criminally registering dead people to ‘vote’, Ayers’ poison is creating a whole new generation of marxist brainwashed children, community organizers are working to subvert law, order and the constitution, college professors are spouting revisionist history, queers are trying to subvert traditional marriage, and foreigners and domestic marxists funnel illegal contributions to the democrats.

The thing is everybody knew who Forrest was whether they thought he was a traitor or not. The flaw in Frum’s and Kirkorian’s thinking is believing Ayers and all the other scoundrels in Obama’s background are well-known. They are not. I would bet millions of adult Americans have no idea who Obama’s past friends and terrorists are.

Again, the Confederates considered themselves another nation. It would be like saying Japan committed treason against the US in WWII.

Were the Japanese ever US citizens? Ever subject to the laws and constitution of the US?

So, to avoid a charge of treason, all one has to do is 'consider themselves a new nation' and voila, no treason?

I understand your position, just don't agree.
