I have to say that I had some pretty decent professors. One or two were full of themselves. I think going to school in a small city helped. I did actually have John Zogby (the pollster) as an instructor for a government class one semester. I don’t remember him trying to influence us in any way. I also think by being older than many of the other people in my class, helped me to be more analytical in what I was being taught. I never felt pressured to think one way or another, but I’m sure a lot has changed since then. When I initially started taking classes, only people who worked days could attend at night. Then the college changed their rules, and my night classes ended up with a lot of youngsters, who weren’t really serious about their educational experience. I wouldn’t want to have to be in classrooms with them today. I’d probably feel compelled to smack a few of them.
