I wish I could get through to the show to say this, because it just hit me solidly for the first time. A huge problem with this election, if not the biggest problem that is resulting in it even being “close” if it actually turns out to be close, is because for this election cycle and the past election cycle, millions of people have hit the age of 18 and become voters who have literally NO memory of living during the cold war.
Everyone in this country under the age of 22 has NO memory of the cold war, or just how bad and dangerous socialism and the Soviet Union was. And most of them have NOT been getting that reality in school!
Most people in this country under the age of 22 have been taught that McCarthism was worse and more dangerous than the socialists it was fighting against to protect the country during the Cold War. They’ve been taught that Reagan was an extremist guilty of Iran-Contra, NOT a man who ended the cold war, liberated dozens of countries and over a billion people, cut unemployment by more than 12%, Cut taxes across the board and rebuilt the economy by doing so. If all the 22 and under voters either had an understanding of the reality of socialism, which Obama represents, or knew the truth of the Cold War that ended before they were old enough to remember it, they wouldn’t be voting for Obama in numbers that would let him win. Many of them would not vote for Obama because they would understand that what Obama wants is what would destroy this country, and is the opposite of what allowed this country to be created.
Stupid young voters have always been a problem, and 3 or 4 to 1 they vote Democrat because they’re young, naive, ignorant, and many times flatly stupid, ie; opposed to the war in Iraq but can’t find it on an unmarked map, or opposed to across the board tax cuts while lacking a basic understanding of economics or how the wealthy of the country ARE the employers! That ignorance and blatant stupidity is what will destroy the country, and largely it’s out of a complete and total ignorance of the Cold War and the Soviet Union, which is enabling them to vote for a flat out radical socialist racist like Obama, which is opposed to all the things that made this country possible in the first place.
Fod God’s sake, did this country bust it’s collective a** to win the cold war and break the back of the Soviet Union, just to fast forward 16 years and see the United States BECOME the NEW Soviet Union because of young stupid voters who are totally ignorant of the dangers of Socialism, and think opposition of socialism is more dangerous than Socialism itself! How in the h**l do we fight that kind of mass stupidity??? You can’t even talk to these young stupid spoiled rotten teenage and early 20’s liberal stealth socialists!!! :( Until that is done, we’re screwed, unless millions of democrats vote McCain because they don’t want to see the country become what we worked so hard to defeat for nearly 50 years.
