Fox needs to flush the Weekly Standard guys; they are totally out of touch with mainstream conservatism at this point.
What about the one time when Schieffer was actually REACHING across to GRAB McCain to get him to stop? I could not believe my eyes. The camera was on McCain and a little hand was coming out to him twice from the right! Can you IMAGINE if Schieffer had tried to grab The Obama???

All he said was Oboma was safe before the debate, and all he had to do was sit there. Therefore, because he didn't totally bomb out (which I think he did), he won. Krauthammer did NOT say Oboma actually won the debate on issues.
None of these TV pundits lives in flyover country, except for the occasional one or two, like John Gibson.
I think Romney would be wiping up the floor with Obama in the polls right now if he were the nominee...especially with the current economic situation. We'd probably be winning Michigan, too, which would be a huge 21 electoral votes that Bush did not get.

Krauthammer has been ticked at McCain ever since he chose Sarah Palin as his VP. He has had nothing positive to say about McCain since.

Considering the fact that the economy is going in the tank, McCain is doing fine. He did fine in this debate. I don’t agree with him on many things, either, but this is no time to condemn the man. If you want to blame someone, blame the leftists and the liberal airheads who are willing to swallow Obama if it gets them the White House.

It’s alright. We need to look through the clouds. Kristol and the other talkers on Fox are part of the cloud cover. They are concerned that Obama called them out publicly tonight and are leaning their “Fair and Balanced” to the left tonight. This debate and the many soundbites that will come from it will need a bit of time to digest. McCain is very much alive and I think gaining - Charles Krauthammer notwithstanding.
Not enough time in the format to explain. Obama would lie making McCain look like a fool. Besides, the unfolding story seems to have gotten stuck.
