Short of Obama going out and either endorsing Al Qaeda publicly or him murdering someone in board daylight, this election is as good as over.
Hey Mike, I don’t want to toss you under the bus (AKA Obama and whoever it suits him at the time) but the election has yet to start other than the ACORN BS... I see at least 57 states still in play!

I expect Powell will stay on the sidelines since he supports McCain, but does not want to go against the black guy. Kind of blew that can dintcha? ;-)
Turns out Powell DID come out backing Obama, because he IS a black guy. Who woulda thunk it?

Dont get hung up here - sometimes we need a Carter to get a Reagan. I might have thought that about Hillary, who's left wing attitudes are somewhat moderated by a Methodist upbringing. However, Barry the O had a both muslim and communist tutoring when young. Both of those have a strong 'kill the infidel' policy. There won't be an after, if Barry has his way.

Holy Crap. Look what the cat dragged in.
Yeah look at that
.
We'll get right on that... November 5th. Until then, we fight (and vote for every true conservative on the Nov 4 ballot.)
We? There is no leadership in the GOP. From being horribly out-gunned on the ground to being completely and totally out-classed in the battle of ideas, conservatives are screwed until we realize, as a group, that screaming terrorist/Marxist/Muslim isnt going to work as a campaign platform.
Hey, nice to see you posting again, MfO. You hafta connect with GOP_Raider now.
Something tells me this post wont last very long. I do miss FR at times, but theres no wiggle-room for free-thinking anymore like there used to be.
Just to clarify, you think McCain is going to lose?
Not just lose get crushed.
I glad youre not in the military. What a loser!
As if I give one ounce of a damn what your opinion of me is
.in fact, if you dont like it Im perfectly ok with it especially since Ive been proven RIGHT.
More like a Hitler to get a Patton. Please, give up if you want, but do it by yourself. Just Damn.
Having to compare your political adversaries to mass-murderers usually isnt going to work with more than about the 15% or so of this country that is truly conservative.
White flag waving surrender monkey alert!!!!!!!!!!
Strategic retreat does not a surrender make except on FR
Except that sometimes, we get an FDR. That didn't work so well in 1932, 1936, 1940, or 1944.
The problem is the current Administration cant get out of the car without stepping on their crank and twisting. This was bound to happen and will only get worse until the GOP actually finds some leadership that can actually produce a workable platform that isnt saying Well, at least they arent THEM
..
And it's time for the buckeyes to let go of being a national contender in football. They need to take a time out to recruit real players to win key football games.
And that still makes absolutely no sense
.
David? David Axelrod, is that you?
Uhhh who are you??
Hey there!
Good to see youre back for a spell.
Hey! I wouldnt expect it to last very long unfortunately. I couldnt stand the attitude of this forum in 2006 when the GOP got its clock cleaned and NO ONE on the right has learned the lesson yet unfortunately.
Are you THE Mike from Ohio?
Yes this is THE Mike from Ohio complete with a career, a retirement plan AND a kid. Unfortunately it appears that my point of view as a conservative isnt very welcome here and thats ok.
I agree. I dont see McCain winning this and the silver lining is that if we can survive 4 years of Obama with the Dems completely in control they will mess things up so bad people will be ready for a real change. The question is, who is the Reagan that will run in 4 years. Reagan was out there for more than 4 years preparing his candidacy against Carter.
This person doesnt necessarily have to be a Reagan clone. Just a person with a concrete set of ideals (which McCain lacked) who has a proven record will do.
Theres already a Carter(Obama)and a Reagan(Palin); so why wait?
The sad part is you think Palin is anywhere near capable of even holding Reagans jock strap. If she is all the GOP can muster as a Reagan, the party is in even worse shape than I already think it is
..
Or even more to the point - we need a Carter to blame the upcoming Depression on. ;)
At the rate we are debasing our currency, I seriously doubt anyone will escape blame.
What you mean is.
Don't get hung up here - sometimes we need a Hitler to get us WWII
See previous comment about having to compare your opponent to a mass-murderer. If that is all you have, youve lost about 60% of the country.
We will win. If CBS oversamples Democrats by 15% and Obama is winning by 14% what does that say? If McCain wins tonight, it will only open the gap wider. The media wants all of YOU to stay home and think the Obama winning would be an improvement.
At first I was hopeful about this line of reasoning, but its BS. There really IS a Democratic renewal happening in this country. Call it brain-washing or whatever, the fact of the matter is there are more and more Democrats registering every day and more and more of the GOP base is dying off. I never would have believed it until Ive spent a couple months on different campuses around the country at seminars. The GOP has COMPLETELY missed the boat and Im absolutely NOT shocked by that development at all.
It's not Carter we're getting, it's Jomo Kenyatta.
FWIW, the over/under is LBJ.
And risking 2 to 4 new liberal Judges on the SC, no way!!!
Time to hope someone doesnt croak in the next 2 years at least.
Hey Mike, I dont want to toss you under the bus (AKA Obama and whoever it suits him at the time) but the election has yet to start other than the ACORN BS... I see at least 57 states still in play!
Then Im sorry (and please dont take this the wrong way), but push away from the keyboard and go look around. Obama didnt need to cheat this time around.
I might have thought that about Hillary, who's left wing attitudes are somewhat moderated by a Methodist upbringing. However, Barry the O had a both muslim and communist tutoring when young. Both of those have a strong 'kill the infidel' policy. There won't be an after, if Barry has his way.
Well it appears we are about to find out.

This may very well be my last post on FR. Whether by banishment or by my own leave, its been nice. Thank you especially to the Canteen for the care package while I was in Iraq, the troops I worked with loved the stuff and put it to good use. Good night. Out.
To: MikefromOhio
Aw, stick around.
It’s going to be an interesting two years until we can take back Congress and we need all hands on deck.

After listening to McCain’s concession speech I don’t see many filibusters in the future from the GOP.
America has turned away from God. The senate won’t help .....much worse than with Clinton.

Things did not go well for McCain and you made some valid points. We have lost the battle, but we will win the war. I am confident that the party will get back to its conservative values and that it will figure out a way to properly package the message. I do not see a democratic president and congress being successful in the next 4 years.
