Why are we worried about being called racists by the democrats. We’re letting that fear set our campaign strategy. Especially when we’ll be hearing it for FOUR frickin’ YEARS if we fail now.

We need an ad on Odinga IMMEDIATELY.

The cry of racism can be responded to so easily its not worth worrying about.

As McCain is an establishment man on illegal aliens, NAFTA and Wall Street bailouts, uneasy with social issues like affirmative action and abortion, he lacks the full panoply of weapons that successful Republicans like Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Bush II used to win two terms. He seems to confine himself to the limited arsenal Gerald Ford, Bush 1 and Bob Dole employed when they went down to defeat.

I normally don't agree with Buchanan but he's nailed it - McCain is running on Bush 1's campaign platform from '92 while Obama is running on Clinton's campaign platform from '92, and we all know how that ended.

People care more about their 401ks than they do about character or what happened in the '60s or '70s. If McCain doesn't get that this election is now about the economy, he'll be a guest at the inauguration in January instead of the focal point.

Its not an endorsement, its sage advice. And McCain should take it.

But he won't.

Perhaps it comes down to what McCain really thinks about an Obama presidency and how he wants to be remembered by history.

"I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States,"- John McCain, 10 Oct 08

"I now yield the remainder of my time to my esteemed colleague, Senator Obama"- Sen. John McCain

McCain is running his campaign from the left side of the Senate chamber.

Great article. First and foremost, McCain needs to go after Obama's agenda while promoting a better one.

And buy Sarah big blocks of airtime to address the nation.
