Chatsworth. Actually it’s not hot as usual. Just keep the doors and windows shut. And try the air conditioner fan filter. Fans just keep the particles in the air. They do fall out and into the rug in undisturbed air. Just dust and vacuum when it doesn’t stink outside.
new start on Camp Pendleton too....
I already have a headache and have been inside all day
People that live in Simi are really hosed if they didn’t get on the 101 to the 23 before 2:30 PM. I know somebody that did. The others are probably still cruising stinky.
Thanks - and you know that will mess up all East West surface streets. Just switched from 9 News to 7. South of 118 East of Reseda is evacuating now. Smoke is bad here.
We're getting hammered with smoke here. It started around 11:00 this morning smelling like a burning pine tree and now it's burning eyes and coughing smoke time. It's very windy here.
Hey not all of us live near the fire, how about a little grographic context.
See the detailed map BurbankKarl linked here:

I talked to him an hour ago, and the smoke is very bad. They are telling everybody in the area (those not evacuated) to stay inside, and keep the airconditioner running, as the filter will filter out the smoke. (?)
He said if it gets any more severe, he will take the family to relatives in Santa Monica - away from the danger of smoke inhalation.
Thanks for the concern, BG! Prayers appreciated by all.
He sent me these pictures he took, when he picked up the girls from school this afternoon:

God Bless and protect all the fire fighters!
Thanks for posting that map, Karl.
When the fires raged around us, we took our animals out for ‘fresh air’ days. It’s not a bad idea.
How do things look this morning?
Actually, just observing from afar. Thankfully sold that home in 1993 prior to the Northridge earthquake in 1994.
