Palin to speak in Scranton on Tuesday
SCRANTON — Yet the latest sign of Scrantons status as the center of the political universe: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will be making a campaign stop here Tuesday.
The Republican vice-presidential candidate is scheduled to speak at a rally at the Riverfront Sports Complex, a campaign official has confirmed.
I work 12 to 18 hours most days.
And the problem is?
“What exactly does she want, to sit on her ass and collect a ton of cash?”
In a word ......Yes.
“also many people work a lot because they love to buy things they shouldnt to impress their friends and family”
I work a lot and in the process it employs 135 others
with high paying jobs and full medical benefits.
Of course after Mr Obama gets done with my greedy a$$
I most assuredly will half to cut way back.
No problem though they (and possibly even me)can get a job with the seven million
others working on Obamas WPA road jobs.
Why does every one equate working hard with greed?
I do it because I want to. I like the outcome that hard
work and challenge bring.
We are not in disagreement . There seems to be two forces at work in McCain’s campaign which is resulting in a completely incoherent message . This is unreal ...
The fact that a few people cherry picked by the MSM say they are voting for Obama is not indicative of this region. Actually, if you read this entire story carefully, there were actually more people either voting for McCain or at the very least writing in Hillary than those supporting Obama. Trust me, I know Pennsylvania well, and Obama won’t even come close to getting Kerry’s numbers in this region, and that may be enough to swing the state red. Obama has already visited northern Pa. several times in the primary and lost the area 70-30. Obama may get a larger turnout in Phila., but that will be offset by many working class white Democrats in northern Phila. (where racial tensions still run high) and the surrounding older suburbs who will not vote for Obama. I don’t see how McCain could do much worse than Bush, who only lost by 1% in ‘04, but he should do better.
This is the ST Pete Slimes , the Pravda of Florida.
A pack of hard core leftist that push phony polls and DNC propaganda.
its the FL retirement spot for all the former NY Slimes retreats.
Dwight Schrute lives .
That’s good to hear, it really is, because it appears PA is in play with the amount of time the campaign is there this late in the game.
Because she doan' know.
Its incredibly historic to get the chance vote against the first BLACK MARXIST DEMOCRAT running for President!
IMHO there is hope for McCain here. These voters are looking for a reason to vote against Obama. The right charge at the right time could be the tipping point.
Yeah, and McCain is in Iowa, which is "supposed" to be safe for Obama.
Yet Sarah Palin is off to Indiana, after campaigning in Omaha. Any GOP candidate campaigning in either place in October ought to be a gonner. The travel plans are confusing the hell out of me.
And the Clintons are off to Pennsylvania so by your reckoning Obama has problems in Penn. No?
Rumors that he is a Muslim? Mr. ‘My Muslim Faith’ isn’t a Muslim?
And Jesus wasn’t a Jew??
I think Sarah or Todd are also off to Maine. Maine, like NE, is all about defending/poaching 1 electoral vote (those states split their EV by cong. dist.). There are a number of plausible scenarios that’d result in a 269-269 split.
As for Indiana - Obama has spent literally MILLIONS on unanswered TV ads in that state (same with NC). It will be an interesting experiment in whether a politician can literally spend an otherwise unfriendly state into submission.
I'm not sure what to make of it. The travel schedule is, as I said, confusing.
