Well, I don’t know which county it was, but I was standing right there when two perky, young girls came up to me and my boss as we stood outside the BlockBuster Video where we work (in Indiana) and asked if we were registered to vote. I proudly told them YES, for over 10 years, ever since we moved to the county. My boss (God love her)moved from California about 3 years ago and had never done so.(No body’s perfect) They told her (and I agreed at the time) that it hurt nothing to register.

They proceeded to do so. They both had on ‘Obama’ buttons. I will admit that they were very light in pushing his agenda, mainly saying that if my boss had not made up her mind about who to vote for she should pick a topic that was important to her (and the one said ‘Like the economy’) and check the web sites to see who was closest to her views. Then vote for her choice.

Then the other asked me who I was voting for. I certainly didn’t want to start a scene, so I smiled sweetly and said ‘None of your business... I don’t discuss some things with strangers -sex, money, religion or politics’

My boss is a pretty good pal, so I’ll be discussing this with her later just to clear the air, but at the time, not in front of the kool-aid drinkers...

Something I noticed that bothered me -they never checked ID or anything. Just took her word for who she was. The only thing they needed was the last 4 numbers of her social security number. They did not verify anything.

It seemed sloppy and ripe for coruption, so, yeah, this story doesn’t surprise me any....

(This was in a small southern county, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY... The one in the story, I don’t know...)

“Our democratic republic is indeed on a precipice.

I’m pretty sure we’re already over the edge and falling.”

There’s still time. We need to implore the help of God and start making some REAL noise!

Quick! Wake up McCain and alert him to this!

Perhaps even the present recumbent in the WH might also notice? The RNC? Hell-oooo....

No wonder they unleased Carville the other day with his spew about [paraphrased] "if the polls are anywhere close to where they are now, and Obama loses, all Hell will break lose." The Obama camp KNEW that the Acorn Fecal Grease was about to hit the fan, and that they needed to solidify the moment.

I've noticed other Obama surrogates spouting roughly the same line since, sans the overt *riots* attachment.

Yeah, the day was ugly all around. Too much sulphur in the air.

Funny thing was that the sun came out after Obama left on his smelly plane.

Despite being (assumingly) unrelated to the ACORN mess, Rezko needs to sing, and sing now.

What, you have to see it on CNN or read about it in Time or the NY Slimes before you believe it? If that’s the case, you’re bought and sold.

Do you believe everything that is posted? I think not. It would be foolish to do so. Always a good idea to source material before passing it on. Please be more considerate of other posters and don't insinuate that another has a certain belief when you have no basis to make that statement.

And, someone (any reporter?) should ask Obama
Senator Obama, with Democrat strategist James Carville and many other Democrat operatives commneting that there could be rights if you were to lose the election, will you, today, call for all of your supporters to eliminate any idea of violence regardless of the elections outcome?
I'll wait while some reporter asks that question (don't worry, I have an oxygen tank).

The federal powers are virtually unrestricted at this point. What were the defenses set up to restrain fed power? First and foremost, the Constitution. But let's be honest. The liberals, lawyers, and politicians have defanged our great Constitution. They easily use the "commerce clause" or some other such "loophole" to justify their endeavors. That's if anyone bothers to challenge them.

Meanwhile, the educational system and the media have been engaged in the subversion of our people for decades now.(this is a theme very much on my mind lately.) We've been going through a process of de-evolution for some time now. Looking at the average Frank Luntz focus group tells me that our people are absolutely clueless. They have no appreciation or concept of what this country is.So the people, as a check on federal power, are worthless.

Then there are the states. But the states as a check on federal power have been worthless perhaps since the end of the Civil War, or at least since the Civil Rights movement of the 60s. The communists attack us at our weak points, just like terrorists do. They used the institutional racism in the South as an opportunity to attack our form of government. Since then, "states' rights" has come to mean "Jim Crow." And beyond all that, the two corrupt parties that run our country also run the states, and have no interest in restraining federal power. They just want a piece of the pie.

Now, the commies are using the incident of fraud and corruption on Wall St to undermine capitalism, the same way they used racism as a way to undermine republicanism (small r). And with a majority of our citizens being uninformed, disinterested, shallow dupes, it's really easy meat for them. National health care? The fact that that is even a topic of discussion tells me we're doomed. We're putting sandbags on top of the levee, but the water keeps on rising.

So, Constitution is no restraint on federal power. The people are no restraint. The states are no restraint. What's left? The courts. LOL. I'll just stop there.

I believe the battle was lost decades ago. It's just been a slow decline since then. The next opportunity to form a great republic will probably occur centuries from now on another planet. Good luck to them. Hopefully they learn from our mistakes.

Really?

Rodney King was no named thug. Do you remember what happened in that case?

If Obama wins don't you think people on the right will protest all of this voter fraud?

I would also be concerned about identity theft by some of these card table volunteers. If they would cheat to win an election, they wouldn’t be above using or selling people’s personal identification. The last 4 of your social is all that’s required to identify yourself at some banks and credit card companies.

"Where is McCain on this exploding, nationwide scandal?"

I believe the McCain camp pulled the strings to get the Feds all over ACORN.
