Final word: How great was it to see Bill O'Reilly call Barney Frank a "coward" and say "YOU are responsible for this mess?" The sputtering little toad looked like someone had taken away his subscription to "Men's Health."

I noticed that.
I also noticed how many were Palin supporters over McCain.

OOPS. It auto-excerpted this because I linked to FOX. Here is the commet:
For those who missed it, or who didn't follow all the post-debate activities, Frank Luntz had his infamous "focus group" of "undecided" (usually liberal) voters (although one guy used to be a Huckabee supporter. They substantially went for Obama in the presidential debate.
The results were stunning: not only did they say Palin won the debate, but it was unanimous. Four of the 20 or so said they "changed their minds on how they'd vote" based on this debate, including (gasp) a black woman.
ALL said Palin was qualified.
Here's the kicker. Luntz asked who is the better PRESIDENTIAL candidate, Palin or McCain.
All but four said Palin.
I didn't see it, but I understand that CNN had it's own bogus group and asked for a show of hands. Despite the fact that large numbers of Palin hands went up, the reporter turned away without counting and said something to the effect of "There you have it. Biden won."
So I think in all but the most rabidly Dem outlets, Palin not only emerged the clear winner, but she must have seriously helped McCain's campaign, because "Morning Joe" and some of the other lib shows got off the debates and onto the economy as quickly as they could!

Sorry, don't know. Listening to these people, though, they were all impressed with Palin, "She had confidence," black woman said "She's for the people," "knows what she's doing."
I've never seen a unanimous group before.

Well, I guess that shoots McCain’s theory that you can’t win with conservative principles.
No, John, you can WIN with conservative principles, as long as you’re willing to walk the walk with your life. Reagan also reached out to the Dem Party, but he made them come around to his line of thinking, Not the other way around!

Going in I was skeptical of Palin's ability in this debate---not because I was skeptical of HER, but because I was afraid she'd be so tied to having to think "What would John say?" that she wouldn't be herself. Except for a few of those Wall Street cracks, and the global warming baloney, she mostly was herself.
That HONESTY is what people relate to---not Washington BS. I think liberal or conservative, people want honesty. Obama would get more support, I think, if he just came out and honestly stated some of his positions.
No one ever, ever questioned where Ronald Reagan stood on any issue. He never employed "Washington-speak" when "from the heart" would do.

I had to walk outside after the global warming nonsense. Why did they think this was the prudent way to handle the topic? It stunk.

Although I didn't see the entire thing, CBS also had a focus group of "independent voters". They started the segment saying that these voters thought Biden won. They then interviewed two participants, and surprise, surprise, they were impressed with Sarah! These two thought she won. I didn't hear them interview anyone that said Biden won (even though the guy said right at the beginning that "Biden won").
At the end of the segment, they again said that these were undecided voters, but this time (as an aside) he said "although most of them came into the debate "leaning towards Obama". What a farce of a "focus group" that was!

I thought Luntz got very upset with the outcome. He seemed to be incredulous that she did so well.

The CNN focus group of “undecided voters” was a joke. The whole thing was a set-up to further the Obama/Biden campaign. It was a complete opposite of what Frank Luntz’s group had to say. The only thing those people on CNN were undecided about was how many times they would vote on Nov.4th.

A reasonably sane answer would have been: “Any politician who says he surely knows the cause of alleged global warming is lying. Despite the demogoging on the subject by some political hacks, Science is, by no means, in agreement on this issue, dogonnit”. :)
