I have to award Palin the overall decision for this evening’s debate. You simply can’t win a debate by lying all the time, and Biden was lying more than a pit with 50 snakes in it.

After a tough tough week McCain needed this. No, we ALL needed this.
Can you imagine where he would be in the polls if he would of only stood with his convictions and said he would not vote for any bail out if it was not clean and without pork.

I thought Biden’s “kitchen table” references ended up playing in Palin’s favor. She’s the person you want to have a cup of coffee with.

From your pen to God's ears. I thought that was every one's impression but our side of the blogosphere IS biased. We won't know for a month how well it impacted every one else's opinions. Frank Luntz thinks its a "game changer." Usually, Vice Presidential debates don't change an election but since this has been a weird year so far, this one may be the exception to that rule. We'll see.

I’ve been thinking this, and glad to see someone else state it:

The lame stream media is even more deluded than I thought. CNN and CBS polls, among others, have Biden the winner.

Now McCain needs to promise us that he won’t cause us any more tough weeks. He needs to bring out the large caliber guns and sink the Hussein 0bama garbage scow.

OK, I guess you convinced me.

Just kiddin’. I thought she was spectacular! She was so personable. She's just like me and my family. Joe looked like more of the same.

At one point Joe was muttering some garbage that didn't seem to have any coherence or point. All I could think was, ‘This guy's been in Congress too long’.

She lifted the campaign and their supporters and for a newcomer on the national scene for only 5 or 6 weeks that is remarkable.

I don't drink coffee but would make an exception for Sarah's company. Would give me a chance to straighten her out on the queer tolerance drivel, though.

Agreed. It was obvious that Sarah meant what she said and Biden was simply trying to score points.

Mrs. 2000 said Biden obviously knew what he was talking about, but he didn't connect. She also said that Palin may not have been perfect, but she was authentic.

If McCain doesn't take initiative in stopping this bail-out, or at least re-defining what direction we need to go, the debates won't mean squat.

Its what I expected. Given that they're in the tank for Obama, did you really expect them to say different?

Swear she reminded me of one of my high school teachers... think she did a good job... clearly outside the beltway vs. inside the beltway.... I do think that she appealed to a vast majority of Americans.... weather the drive by media thinks so or not.

Biden got emotional when referencing his own family and having to raise his children in difficult circumstances. It was genuine.
