You really need to read the entire article. I did and I feel a whole lot better.

Hooray! :-) I owe you a big glass of milk. (Whole, not 2%)

My mistake. But I’ll still say it for anyone who just reads the first few sentences. Read the whole article. It makes a lot of sense.

I work with a flaming liberal who hit me with an interesting scenario yesterday. (I hope this post does not get me banned!)

McCain barely surviving an attempted assassination attempt less than 10 days from the election. The ballot remains the same and with McCain - Palin winning, she is going to be sworn in as president, but the RNC has to immediately appoint someone to take her place. He did not have a name to throw out, but left it open to supposition.

Thanks, but it’s NOT a vanity. No mention of beverages or eating habits. :-)

Thank you. I’m growing tired of seeing all the towels being thrown in a month and change before the election.

As I posted a few days ago, if conservatives accept the (largely media-driven) inevitability of a Zero victory, then the libs have already won. They WANT us to give up, and some here seem to be doing so.

The United States is a very resiliant country. I expect osamaobama to win, although I am holding out hope that the American people come to their senses on election day.
His marxist views, beliefs and the policies they will result in will hurt the country but not destroy it.
With him in the WH and pelosi and reid in charge of the congress it is going to be very hard for the media to cover for them. They will be out and exposed for the entire world to see.
The liberals will get us into a good bit of trouble financially, and their forgein affairs will actually make that fool jimmy carter look good.
Conservatives in this country need to start on day one of the osamaaobama administration mobilizing and going after those house seats and senate seats that are going to be vulnerable in ‘10-and there will be many.
hillary will challange the incumbent in 2012-she and bill will ride in on the “triangulation” horse, and I would not be suprised to knock osamaobama off.
This country needs to take “our medicine”-we need to get this liberal socialism out of our system-and those who think it is a viable form of government for this great country. Unfortunately every 20 or 30 years we have to go through it, because collectively this country is a terrible student of history.
I take comfort in the fact that much of europe is moving toward conservatism-they have learned the lesson that we have yet to learn-socialism is an abject failure. But until we get a taste of it we won’t realize how bad it really is.
Keep your chin up-this country is resiliant-we’ll survive.

The “youth vote” is a myth. They register, but they do not vote. This has been proven in every election since 1968.

**********************************

The “youth” also is high on IMs, texting, MTV, and porn, beyond what they were in ‘68.

Ahh youth ... often wasted on the young. ;)

You are running two of your own businessess.
Please let us know if you are having any trouble collecting from your credit customers. Have you had any trouble with your bank reducing your line of credit or cutting off all short term borrowing?

The media and the Democrats may have succeeded in turning this into a panic. The total value of real estate in the US is 12 trillion dollars-the problem loans are how much $600 billion or 5% of the total value. Even the $600 billion has some value-maybe 50% suppose only 40% of its face value-so we are talking about losses of 60% of face value or $360 billion. The real estate bubble in some parts of the country has burst but what kind of losses are we really talking about

I can't even recall when the last time was I placed something in Breaking News. So I think your point is rather misguided, to say the least. So is your comment, which you'd know had you read the article.

Blame Bush for...
...And blame McCain...

Don't forget to blame all those people who took on risky mortgages they either knew they weren't qualified for or were too irresponsible to completely research.

If Obama is elected:

a) the economy is so fragile he won’t be able to raise the money to do all the socialist things he says he wants to do, and:

b) if the Dems increase their numbers of seats in both houses, they’ve shown they don’t have the spine to do anything controversial.

Even as the majority party, they’ve given Bush almost everything he asked for, including funding the Iraq war until we won it, installing two very conservative Supreme Court Justices, and allowing the oil-drilling ban to expire.

If Barry is elected, he’ll just bask in global praise for four years, and the Dems will say they can’t do anything because Bush ruined the economy and our global standing.

Barry will be a caretaker president who was elected only to assuage the country’s lingering racial guilt. He won’t do anything to jeopardize his chances of a second term, which will mean he’ll be a one-term wonder.

If McCain and Palin lose, she’ll be around, and now we have emerging stars like Rep. Thaddeus McCotter.

We’ll survive President Obama, and the silver lining is that Sharpton, Jackson, and the rest of the racism pimps will not be able to say we’re a racist country, since we finally had the “good sense” (barf) to give power to a “real” (i.e. liberal) black and not another of those awful “sellouts” like Clarence Thomas, Condoleeza Rice, Michael Steele, and so on.

When you think about it, there's nothing like the possibility of being drafted and sent to a hellhole by Uncle Sam to boost one's political interest and understanding. That was exactly the case for the species known as Maleus Youthus Americanus in 1968.

Good grief, it really is even worse than I expected. What does that take, two minutes to read? Three if you're moving your lips? And still very few have caught on.

No wonder we as a group are so vulnerable to media manipulation.
