I’m still mad...
Thanks, Wasp.
Clearly, I was wrong. We have him, and his name is Arnold...
Politics is easy ... if you ignore partisan considerations.
Davis was a rascal. His views were, by-in-large, right of center .... unless a chance for reelection was in the wind and then he was 100%, unethical, political whore. Right or wrong, good or bad, legal or illegal, consequences be damned, GET THE MONEY!
The Austrian was never a conservative. He chose the path of least resistance to fame and the continued feeding of his ego. The Republican Party. The quick path to the big money necessary to gain political office. A path that was enhanced by his celebrity. In the company of folks smart enough to disguise Schwarzenegger's basic lack of intelligence, he won successive popularity contests against opponents who were certainly less than stellar in an atmosphere of hype and glitter.
Schwarzenegger biggest sin was the rape of conservative America under the cover it's traditionally conservative political party. Schwarzenegger has effectively helped politically castrate conservative on the American scene. The Austrian made McCain possible and our nation will suffer, regardless the outcome in November.
The solution to the Schwarzenegger problem is simple: DONT ELECT FOREIGN NATIONALS TO HIGH PUBLIC OFFICE IN THE US.
Him and Moonbeam were of the canoe school of politics. "First you paddle on the left, then you paddle on the right and if you're running against a guy named Center, ya paddles Center!!!"
Don’t give AS so much credit. The people of CA elected him.
The legislation would use up to $12 billion in state-approved transportation monies to encourage local agencies to build homes closer to cities and along transit lines to minimize traffic. It also seeks more in-fill development near jobs.
What could you possible have against housing closer to downtown jobs? Are you worried they will run out of single family suburban homes in CA?
I lived in LA. The traffic is persistent except for a few hours from 10PM til 4AM.
What do you have against developers and citizens making their own decisions where to build and buy homes?
The government should have absolutely nothing to do with where citizens build houses so long as the building is being done on private property.
Yup, all part of the plan to squish everyone into large metropolitan areas and force them out of the rural areas so they can be controlled easier.
It's kinda a hundred year plan, but it is being forced on the world incrementally.
Frog/HotWater thingie.
Earth to CA, Earth to CA: Your Governor said he needs a $7B bail out. I think there is a solution here that does not involve Uncle Sugar.
As someone who was flamed pretty hard for opposing Arnold back then, let me say, “Makes one long for a fiscal conservative like Davis...”
Is there a recall petition yet???
I tried to warn everyone what a POS socialist he was but very few listened.
McClintock should be our Governor right now!
What a missed opportunity!
Curses to the fools in the GOP that brought us Arnie!
The article says nothing about prohibiting people to build on private property. It states that money will be used to encourage “local agencies” to develop closer to where the job centers are.
What homes is the article referring to? Government housing?
the article doesnt say
