My point is that it is no great accomplishment that the Senator from Arizona should carry his own state.

State by state polling appears more favorably for McCain.

Another in a line of polls that has McCain back to a lead (some very narrow) after the Messiah closed in a little.

The McCain List.

John McCain paints his home state dark red!

McCain holds a crushing 27% lead among men, and significant leads among women and independents.

Arizona
McCain 59%
Obama 38%

My prediction next poll Georgia flips to barely McCain. GA is souring on both McCain and Palin.

I think you made an excellent point, I am not trusting these polls, all that matters is 11/4.

It’s not that - of course McCain was expected to carry his home state. It’s that McCain has opened up the largest lead ever in Arizona at a time when his national numbers are supposedly contracting (not anymore). That’s a hopeful sign.

Exactly. This huge number does not compute with being behind nationally.

It’s his home state. He better have a ridiculous lead.

Al Gore did not carry Tennessee in 2000.

But it shows how strong he is in that part of the country, this could be a good indicator of his true strength in NV and CO. Also, it shows that McCain had a good polling night, hopefully this is reflected in other States’ results.

I would not make this sh— up. Two weeks ago Long time Dems were talking very positive about McCain. Now their talking about staying home.

No mention of voting for BHO.

But Arizona was a possible swing state, said the DEM AZ Governor.

No mention of voting for BHO.

If they stay home that is even better for the GOP.

I hope he can win his home state...why is this news????

It's news because for many months there's been stories that he couldn't count on winning Arizona--even if the nationwide vote was close.
