You are clueless .
We are in a global market place .
Us currency and assets are held in vast amount overseas.
Your stupid ideas will lead to hyper inflation
or deflation!
They have none. This entire thread is a feeding frenzy.
McCain delivers concessions to the House GOP and puts them back at the table, improves the bill dramaticly - it’s even good enough for Newt who was a fierce critic just days ago - and this is the response.
I don’t see why they are so mad though. They got their way. Maybe.
That is if now Pelosi doesn’t ram through the hard left version now...
I will vote for Bob Barr. Screw McCain. I know I am throwing away my vote, but who cares? McCain is going to lose in landslide Barry Glodwater style anyway. He’ll get a few southern states and his native Arizona.
We haven’t had a good candidate for President since 1984. The Bushes, Bob Dole and John McCain have spent the last 20 years spreading their buttcheeks for the Democrats. Now we the collapse of the Republic is at hand. The Social States of America will be here in 2009.
BTW Mac: Way to ruin Sarah Palins career. Yoh shackled her and threw her to the wolves. Now the MSN has ruined her name and her career. Way to go. Loser.
There you go. We need to start getting this together and hope House Republicans roll with it. We need to fix not only the problem but the root.
damn right he blew it
he has not nutted up and will very likely lose this election
So I trust that you won't mind if I take your wallet and empty your bank accounts and mortgage your house (with you liable for payment) to cover my "losses," eh?
While we're at it, can I take out loans in your children's names? /sarc
Do you think Gore or Kerry would be any better? I’d rather have Bush. I’d take a 3rd term of him over McCain or Obama.
You are as bad as the drive buy gotcha journalists of the MSM. Next time you decide to blow yourself up, go off in a remote place and do it. You have not quote McCain accurately or in context. Knock it off.
Yeah, good luck doing that before the DOW falls below 8000. The House isn’t meeting again until Thursday. This will take at least until next Tuesday then. Meanwhile McCain will be BLEEDING in the polls from the economic downturn.
I think tomorrow either the DOW will be down a little, up a lot, or down huge. You don’t want to know which one I think.
Pelosi out of spite may try to ram through the hard left version now. Or she may block and sabotage and throw the election to Obama on economic hardship grounds, and have a full Dem administration push through their version with the next election 22 months away.
Incidentally I wasn’t thrilled about this bill either. But nevermind that.
Keep reaching out to the other side and talking bi-partisanship John, oh, and keep drawing back a stump.
Socialization of losses and privatization of profits is still Socialism.
If they must fail, let them.
Perhaps you don’t have a 401k. Others do.
Now, does he reach across the aisle to conservatives and Republicans, or is it the other way around? Because, it seems that the former is usually the case.
In case you didn’t notice it was John McCain who brought the House GOP to the table. This bill used to be a nightmare and McCain was able to clean it up. Perfect? Far from it, but doing nothing is suicide. The stock market is now melting. Does largest point loss in history mean anything to you?
No. Listen to the tape and report accurately for crissakes. It is important. He blasted Congress for not finding a solution.
He’s doing everything possible to keep from being elected!
I’m beginning to think he’s dumber than a box of rocks.
I think this is a mistake, to rail on Congress. Hes the reach-across-the-aisle guy;
***That’s a nice, succinct summary. He made another mistake. He may not recover from this one. He is following his own political instincts, which is to reach across the aisle. But that instinct relied upon the democrats playing nice, which is the last thing that’s going to happen here. Also, McCain has relied upon the MSM throwing him softballs. He was truly caught by surprise on the reaction of the media to Sarah Palin, which was a big indicator that he did not FORESEE it, therefore the media-jumping-the-shark was not part of his strategy, he just lucked into it. We Duncan Hunter supporters FORESAW the media reaction to a true conservative, sought to INDUCE it as a strategy to get the media to jump the shark, and take advantage of the phenomenon. We said that it was the PROCESS of running a campaign that generated name recognition. But we were laughed out of court with such a strategy. But who among the scoffers had ever heard of Sarah Palin? Or maybe even Obama for that matter. The process generated name recognition for both of them.
Well, with RINOs in charge of the GOP, you end up with leftists running everything. When will the GOP learn? When will conservatives learn? When will Free Republic learn? Hopefully before it is too late.
i think that something needs to be done, but at the last minute with some of the pigs that were feeding at the trough?
