This is the Heritage foundation. Its not some silly left wing think tank. Heritage is the most conservative and freedom loving group OUT THERE!!! They have surely convinced me. FWIW, this piece is more or less the equivalent of an editorial, not a position paper from Heritage.

Nicely stated...I agree wholeheartedly.

"No "Bail Out" without accountability for the crooks and cronies that caused it in the first place." That won't happen until the shooting stops. The shooting won't start for a few more years.
Regardless: BLOAT

The reality is that this bailout is socialism and we will not go for it. No way, no how.

Swift action is needed to deal with the "toxic" mortgage-backed securities that are causing credit markets to seize up.
The people that got us into this mess MUST be removed and NEW Conservative people have to be placed in charge WITH OVERSIGHT.
It was not a Republican Revolt. It was a TRUE BIPARTISAN REVOLT.
LOOK AT WHAT WARREN BUFFET DID.
Who gave him inside info? Paulson or Bernanke? Pelosi or Reid? Frank or Dodd?
That's what I thought.

You are, unfortunately, correct.
What so few fail to realize is that it isn't our "financial institutions" failing, or rather if they are it can all be traced back to the failure of our "political institutions" as controlled and manipulated by both political parties, in power.
Hang on to yer hat! Things will get much worse before they get better!

My wife and I are in Japan for a couple of weeks. A bit of business and a bit of sightseeing.
Can you hold the revolution till I get back? :-}

Well I am not sure buddy! LOL
Unfortunately I don't see it starting any time soon. In fact, at this stage of my life I am not sure I will see it at all. But one can hope. There is always hope.
Have a great and safe trip!
