Will cruise ship passengers be required to tow the vessel to port with the lifeboats if the vessel breaks down at sea?
A precedent has been set.....

I hope Al Gore doesnt get any bright ideas from this...Since he has lately been encouraging people to break the law if they don't get their way via the proper channels, perhaps he will advise passengers to hijack the aircraft if it's running late?

Im glad it wasnt in the air at the time.Indeed God's hand may have been involved in saving these people from a terrible fate, but I'm guessing that the Chinese 'government' will not acknowledge that possibility.

Were there TVs on the plane so they could watch the Chinese space launch?

I'm guessing that the soundstage footage of that 'launch' was broadcast some days ago and is already old news :-)

Someone needs to tell Obama about this, he thinks that China is so advanced in comparison to the USA.

Someone needs to tell Obama about this, he thinks that China is so advanced in comparison to the USA.Agreed. He will undoubtedly praise the Chinese 'green example' here of dispensing with those smog-producing runway tow vehicles in favor of this environmentally-sensitive alternative.
His next action agenda item: to encourage all US airports to maintain proper airline tire pressure while eliminating all of the groundcrew trucks as a combined 'green' and anti-obesity initiative.....we'll soon have the slimmest, sleekest and sweatiest runway workers on the planet! :-)

Rickshaw in the sky!LMAO
The guy in the red shirt out in front of the plane....he got the good job this time around. It took them TWO HOURS to push the thing, probably at little more than a snail's pace and probably with frequent stops, and all the while he's out there waving his arms and making himself appear useful while many of the pushers will likely experience injuries from the strain.

But at least they are never told to get out and help push their plane. As a passenger on a helicopter I had to help push it back in the hanger when a hail storm came up unexpectedly. A wheel rolled over another man's foot during the operation causing a minor injury. When the police showed up at the hospital he told them that a helicopter ran over his foot. They thought that he was making up a story and came to the airport to investigate. We had to show them how it happened. I'm not sure they believed us even after the investigation.
