There are times when even the most cynical of us wish for a good lawyer. I wish for a plethora of them for the bereaved family. May they take these sleazes for every penny that they’re worth...and more. Sic ‘em!
This woman has a mind of a mean little pre-teen.
DARDENNE PRAIRIE — Lori and Curt Drew are leaving their quiet Dardenne Prairie neighborhood. Closing day on the sale of their home on Waterford Crystal Drive is Friday, Lori Drew said today.
Drew, 49, would not say where she and her husband are moving.
“We’re going temporary for the next few days,” she said. “I honestly don’t know where we’re going after that.”
When pressed to elaborate, she declined comment.
Two workers were loading household items into a red moving truck parked in the
Drews’ driveway this afternoon. The living room had been largely cleared out and the open garage door revealed a mostly empty garage.
The Drews’ ranch-style home’s original asking price when it was put on the market in June was $234,900. Real estate listings show the asking price had
been lowered to $229,900.
A federal judge in Los Angeles is expected to rule on whether to dismiss
charges of conspiracy and illegally accessing MySpace computers “that she used to inflict emotional distress on a child.” Drew’s trial date is still set for
Oct. 7.
Prosecutors say Drew and others schemed to gain the trust of 13-year-old Megan Meier, a former friend of Drew’s daughter, inventing a teenage boy to befriend
Meier on the social networking website MySpace. Then they used information they
gained to humiliate Meier, prosecutors said, eventually leading or contributing
to her suicide.
Asked her feelings on leaving the Dardenne Prairie neighborhood, Drew said,
“It’s 50-50.”
There are many vile things in the world and this woman is one of the most vile persons I have ever heard of.
Honestly, I think if I saw her in person I would be hard pressed not to smack the living tar out of her.
The defendent is not a bad looking middle age woman. I think she will look very nice in an orange jump suit.
Words fail me that an adult would do something as cruel as this to a child.
Wherever she goes, she’s going to be hounded. When she moves into a new neighborhood, everyone will know. And I hope they never, EVER know a minute’s peace.
Lori Drew is a sick POS. To echo what someone else said, may she never know a moments peace.
Somehow I am confused. I read all about this awhile back and thought this entire thing happened in Missouri or somewhere in the midwest, so why the judge in LA?
Myspace is headquarted in Los Angeles, and that is where she “hacked” into their system and created a bogus ID, a federal crime.
Playing a cruel hoax on a 13 year old. Now there is a twisted mind.
Er...is tar a kind word for crap or worse? OK.
You can run, but you can’t hide...unless they create their own “witness protection program”, they will have a hard time living this down.
Follow that red moving truck.
Frankly, were I a parent of the girl who killed herself, I don't know what I'd do, but I suspect it would be incredibly violent, and I would expect to spend a number of years in prison, if not the rest of my life.

That's not the "best part." They knew the girl and family for a long time, and they were aware that she was unstable. IIRC, she was being treated for depression or other psychological issues. And they KNEW it.
Mark
Oh. Thank you. I really hope she gets the max a person can get. It seems that a lot of adults these days are only so in chronological years, if you know what I mean.
I don’t know for sure. My mom’s favorite saying was, “stop that or I will smack the tar out of you”
I always took it to mean a real good whopping.
I’d help you tear this woman to shreds.
That would mean stop to me.
BG
And completely rotted out on the inside
