Problem is that its not free. We taxpayers are paying for this garbage.

It is long past time that the taxpayers shut these government schools down. EVERY ONE OF THEM! Reform is impossible!
Some of us in the government schools are not enablers. We fight back and try to save who we can.
“It is long past time that the taxpayers shut these government schools down. EVERY ONE OF THEM! Reform is impossible!”
You are 100% correct!
You have just insulted millions of hard working people who do a more vital function than you will ever perform. Congratulations! With attitudes like yours it is no wonder that a lot of good people feel discouraged from going into teaching and go into other more financially lucrative and less stressful endeavors. I agree on vouchers and on the NEA but my response to most of the rest of your diatribe is that you need to get out more and meet some actual teachers. You’ll be surprised at what you’ll find.
Our government indoctrination centers need 3 things:
*Teachers willing to work in them.
*Parents willing to send their kids.
*Taxpayers willing to pay for them.
So...Re: Teachers
It is time that taxpayers started asking teachers some tough questions:
* Is anyone holding a gun to your head as you write that check to the Marxist NEA? Why did you vote for **your** local Marxist NEA rep? If you did not vote for **your** Marxist NEA rep, then why do you willing work with and support other people who would???? !!!!
* Why do you work for a school that has politically correct textbooks that trash the history and principles of our nation and Judeo Christian culture? Is anyone holding a gun to your head as you pass out these textbooks?
* Why do you turn the key on schools with homosexual indoctrination passing for sex ed? Why would you cooperate with anyone who would? Is anyone holding a gun to your head?
* Why would you willing aid an abet a school that has reading and math programs that fail to teach reading and math? Is anyone holding a gun to your head as you do this?
*Why do you **LIE** to students and their parents when you award them a diploma they can not read? Why would you be a LIAR by passing them from grade to grade without the skills needed for that grade? Why would you hurt children and their parents in this way?
*...etc.!
It seems to me of all the many teacher I know and have known what is being held to their heads is a **paycheck**. They do all of the above for **MONEY**!
As for parents:
It does seem that the waiting lists for charters, vouchers, and tax credits grows longer every day. Legislators in states across the nation hear their pleas. And...Homeschooling continues its yearly 7% to 15% growth.
And...Taxpayers are not happy paying high property taxes on overly inflated housing.
Sounds like a perfect storm to me.
more vital function than you will ever perform.

Government teachers stand in line for the “Mother Teresa” award. Wow! Talk about an over inflated sense of worth.
The truth is garbage collectors save lives of more children every day than teachers.
Kids **really*** need the garbage collect. Most kids survive and thrive **in spite** of all the maltreatment they receive from their government teachers during their government indoctrination camp imprisonment.
Some of us in the government schools are not enablers. We fight back and try to save who we can.

I invite you to ask yourself a few questions:
* Can the government schools really be reformed? The truth is that government schools, the First Amendment, and freedom of conscience are fundamentally and utterly incompatible.
* Is working there really helping or hurting children?
* Is working there really helping **others** hurt children?
