Interesting observation--my next-door neighbor said the same thing. It's the "hidden racism" that Obama supporters don't want to face. There is an enormous amount of racial tension between blacks and Hispanics. Talk about chickens coming home to rooooost.....
“But there are enough Hispanics who absolutely hate blacks to perhaps tilt things.”
Wishful thinking.
I was one of those N. CA Republicans, and it is a lonely existence with all the SF Bay Area whackos!
I had very few friends who I could talk politics with without it getting into a shouting match. Reading about how fired up N. CA Rs are now makes me *almost* wish I was still living there.
BOO!! SKITTISH, very skittish!
They won't "advocate" for or against her, they'll just put out "facts" (i.e. lies), that's how the 527s do it. For instance, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth didn't "advocate" against Kerry, they just put out facts about Kerry while being very careful never to say "don't vote for the guy".
Boy, these Gores never tire of drinking(or serving) the kool-aid, don’t they?
“Ever since her speech to the Republican National Convention on Sept. 3, party officials say volunteers have been contacting California GOP offices in numbers unseen since Ronald Reagan was on the ballot for the White House. “
Great news!
No wonder the Democrats are in full panic mode.
We’ve been visiting San Diego and have seen lots more of the M/P signs. Coronado Island looks like it’s been shotgunned with the blue and gold signs. We even saw a man carrying his sign on Orange Avenue, yesterday.
The women I’ve talked to, and the ones I heard cheering McCain at the American Academy of Family Physicians annual convention are very much encouraged by a woman on the ballot. One woman stormed out of the opening ceremonies which began with Terry McCauliff and John Kasich. McCauliff started off calling those of us (Family Physicians, mind you) who raised our hands to say we’d voted for Bush “ low IQ.” The woman silently walked out, across the front, pointing her middle finger high over her head, at McCauliff.
San Diego is typically conservative.
Are you seeing any Obama-Biden stickers or signs? I live in Tarzana in the Valley and work in Glendale, and I’ve only seen one Obama-Biden bumper sticker. Lots of Obama stickers, of course. I really have to laugh when I see an Obama sticker on a big SUV, I guess it’s OK if he checks his tire pressure.
I was in downtown Los Angeles the other day and saw an Obama poster on a building - and it had been “tagged.”
