Republicans were already fired up for John McCain and Sarah Palin last week when Fred Thompson took the stage here to turn up the heat a little more - with a full-throated attack on the media as a co-conspirator with the Democrats in an effort to smear and destroy Palin.

Given the abusive and partisan MSM behavior, this is a good thing. The tone of the article says otherwise.

Fred hit a stride during the convention that he should have hit as a candidate in the primaries. McCain should tap him to speak as often as possible. He seems not to shy away from the truth when it comes to the blatant media bias and the average voter is responding well. Hopefully he will be out there often between now and Nov. 4th.

Well, the Miami Herald is perhaps just another brick in the partisan MSM wall, and I'm sure they're beginning to feel the heat of the backlash against their scorced-earth anti-Republican policy. I'm not expecting them to be happy about McCain's attack against their industry.
