Dems have been used to the idea that being hip and fashionable is their specialty. Now, Palin stole it from them, and there is no sign of them ever getting it back.
For a while, Obama appears to become a powerful cultural and political symbol. Not any more. Zero has been thoroughly eclipsed. Even McCain must have been surprised to find how his VP choice turned out. Besides, they have no ace in the hole on policy front.
Zero has really zero.

Now, Palin stole it from them, and there is no sign of them ever getting it back. The nice part is that there are lots of people whose imaginations have been captured by this new celebrity who might take the time to actually become interested in and learn something about conservatism.
