They took months and months to make this pick and they, especially 0bama, screwed up. He might be able to fix this mistake but what would happen if he was president and we had a crisis, would he need a do-over?

I stand by what I wrote. It would appear an act of desperation on the part of the candidate. How many outside of PUMA voters would gravitate to that party? And not all of them I'd dare say.
If Obama ask for a do-over on his first major decision he will most definitely lose the election.
The negatives associated with this far outweigh any bump the Obama campaign would get from a better selection.
How about Biden drops out do to cabin fever, and Obama replaces him with the embattled Charles Rangel, and then runs to lose nastily and bitterly, so that then Barack can go back to Kenya — one of the other countries that he is a citizen of — and run for President there. He’ll claim he lost in the racist US because of his Kenyan heritage and thus gain the sympathy and tribal votes. He’ll win, big time.
