This supposedly gives Obama plausible deniability when he says his comment did not refer to Palin while, at the same time, his minions are crucifying Gov Palin.

Plausible deniability is a fine way to escape criminal or even civil charges, where hard evidence would be required to demonstrate culpability. It's an absolutely lousy way to win people's trust and support.

If I read Obama's personality correctly, he will consider his denial of the smear successful if people decide "Well, I suppose it's possible it was a coincidence". Won't do him a lot of good, though, if the people still vote McCain/Palin.

You also replied or mentioned reading Obama’s personality and I, for one, would like to see what a qualified psychiatrist might say about O’s personality much like some did during Slick Clintoon’s terms. I thought those arms length assessments were quite helpful.
