So a bunch of Democrat teachers want to complain. No big deal. I bet they’d be doing somersaults if Obama showed up.

It would seem to me that this would be a local matter. Nothing for these two pixies at the WaPo to worry their pretty little metrosexual heads about. Some Dim rags like the WaPo will print ANYTHING.

I’m sure they’d rather a Gay pride rally be held instead.

Of course the teachers are “concerned”, at least the ones who are in the tank, via their labor unions, for “the One”. If the exception was made for NObama, fair is fair, and McCain/Palin should have a shot, too.

Is it a good idea for candidates to campaign in schools or on church property?

I remember football pep rallies during school hours. If that wasn’t disruptive and non-educational, I don’t know what is.

"This is in the middle of a school day. The entire school day is going to be disrupted, and this gives an indication of support for his candidacy. That bothers me," one Fairfax County school teacher said.If you're such a sucky teacher that having the day be "disrupted" by something that, were it an Al Gore event, you'd all be claiming was a "civics lesson", you should be fired, you incompetent mushhead.

Just how many votes do they expect McCain/Palin to gain from under 18 year olds?
It’s not like they are holding a campaign rally for parents during school hours.

Sen. John McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, are holding a campaign rally at Fairfax High School tomorrow morning in violation of a school system policy, prompting some teachers and community leaders to question district officials. Blatant editorializing in a news article by the Washington Post.

I don’t get it; they did it for Obama, so what’s the big deal and why is this news? I mean, really; this hyperdrive reporting to get McCain Palin is something to behold. I do believe they are going to outdo the hadron supercollider.
To: Red Steel
Well it SHOULD bother you! For a day YOU won't control the liberal Brainwashing, there won't BE any of your Brainwashing THAT day! You SHOULD be worried!

McCain/Palin are on the verge of making history. It would seem like these “teachers” would WANT their students to be a part of it.

Yes, but Obama is having a “policy” announcement in school tomorrow, so I guess that is ok, right? Only republicans are called on it, not dimwits.

Obama is holding a rally at Lebanon High School in Southwest VA... so I don’t see what the problem is.
