For my Eagle Scout project, I built a 12X12 octagonal gazebo at my old elementary school.
The PTA put up half the money for supplies, Lubrizol matched that to pay for the other half. Total cost of the supplies was around $2800, so that’s pretty darn close to what you found at the Home Depot. Yours looks a little fancier though, good find!
I don’t recall how many hours we logged, but it was fewer than 200 man-hours, including procurement of materials, and being amateur builders (teenagers and dads) I’d say a contractor would be able to put it up in about 50 manhours or less. Not sure where that $97,500 went!
Good find!
LOL!

They really beleive that the crumbs this socialist tosses to them wil fic everything. These folks like to be SLAVES to the government.
I have to bump this article from three years ago.
At the time, we were wondering how Obama’s past performance would influence his handling of the economy, if he ever became POTUS.
Now we know.
What a disgrace, but not as bad as those who voted for him.
Thanks for bumping this. Wow! What waste—the difference in cost between a Home Depot gazebo and the money allocated here, translated onto the national scale, makes me sick.

Thanks, this is the genesis of the 3 day birthday bash while the markets burned. Nero didn’t fiddle, he couldn’t play the fiddle, but The One fiddled in todays meaning of the word. Which includes barefoot electric slides in the rose garden.
