Who is minding the store, as we party in St. Paul?

Well, let's see, last I checked, we still have a President, a Vice-President, a Cabinet, et al. In fact, those guys didn't make the trip the the convention because they were taking care of business, minding the store, when a hurricane came in along the Gulf coast.

Better question: where are Peelousy and Reid and the rest of the 'Rat-led Congress when there is vital business (energy, economy, war, etc.) to attend to and for which they were elected to consider? If there is anyone who hasn't been "minding the store", it is the 'Rat-led Congress, and that's probably why they are polling around 9% approval rating.

Vice President Cheney is in Tbilisi promising $1 billion in new aid, as Prime Minister Putin of Russia is asking why, if this aid is humanitarian, it is being brought into the Black Sea in U.S. warships.

LOL.

Thank you. I’m a big fan of the Cheneys.

I hope they are coaching Sarah Palin for her role as VP. Dick Cheney is one of the smartest people in DC...and he’s on our side.

I just received a post-convention e-mail from a liberal friend of mine. He asked "why the Republicans were so ashamed of Bush and Cheney, that they didn't even have them at the RNC?"

I replied, "President Bush and VP Cheney were just playing by the rules that liberals wanted. The President was at the White House, directing hurricane relief efforts, and the VP was over in Georgia, helping with foreign diplomacy."

Liberals can't have it both ways.
