Apparently the key word here is ‘broke’.

Some are saying it didn’t break; it kept scrolling because the applause was longer than they expected and messed up the timing. So technically, yes - if you were reviewing tape the TP is scrolling so all would appear to be fine but again, it was scrolling while people were applauding and so the timing was off.

When she took the podium, the machine rolled so quickly, it often skipped the first line or two of every paragraph on screen. The operator said he had new equipment and wasn’t sure how it would work.

No friggin' excuse, both for that and the outdated speech draft that she was given. A couple of heads should roll for this.
