Agreed. Toss him into a shopping cart and have his two pals push his bleeding butt to the hospital.
Then, charge the pushers with theft of the shopping cart, in addition to the other charges.

In Minnesota, under the exact same set of circumstances.....
The shooter (Good Guy) would be in jail.
Because the good guys were in their home, witnessing a crime outside of their home and they were not in any immediate risk of harm...their only recourse would be to call 911.
Step outside, escalate the situation, shoot or even just brandish....felony arrest and to the clink.
We’re going to try to pass the Castle Doctrine law one more time, this next session.

Why do you think we have had the significant increase in helicopters for transfer of patients?
Oh sure, its the compassionate thing to do. But it also supplies the transplant facilities for profit generating surgeries......
The donor cycles keep the surgery rooms humming.
Been there, almost done that!
