Since when is it "divisive" to have a contested election and have every vote counted? Only totalitarian countries have "unanimous votes". Ms. DeGette's reasoning is very illustrative of liberal thought.

You just summed up a big angle of Democrat politics today...anything that causes or reflects any kind of disagreement is automatically labeled 'divisive'. It is the new whiner word. If I say I don't like cheese on my hamburger, I'm being divisive by not going along with what the majority of people prefer. The use of the word does have totalitarian undertones, but the constant repetition of it is reaching parody.

By the way, I looove cheese on hamburgers. Bacon too.

Hey, if it works out they'll be happy to try it in a general election. You just vote and they'll check it and if it comes out OK they'll announce it...

It's actually sort of funny. First they invent "superdelegates" so the party machinery can't be overruled by the voters and then when even that doesn't work they hold a ballot so secret you don't even have to be there. What's next, an elevation from Reichschancellor to supreme power?
