That is pretty much the mindset of felons, criminals and abusers - "stay out of my business!"
Mom allowed the marriage when the girl was 12 years old. (as did the sperm donor - no father, that).
May the Lord convict the conscience of anyone who trades their daughter this way. And anyone who tries to make excuses or defend giving a 12 year old in marriage in this day and time.
Children of 12 cannot make good decisions. Their parents should either make *legal* decisions or pay the legal consequences, as well as the ones the Lord will inflict. Shame!

Let me see if my wife can dig up some of the case photos from her foster care management days. The pictures of the two year old girl beaten to death by her "loving" father should really please you as much as the fact the father was arrested under our "silly laws" will upset you.
Fortunately the authorities did act "unjustifiably' in time to save her older brother, he only had a broken are and severe bruising...

I advocated for the clarification of the laws of consent in 2005 in order to protect girls like this from sexual predators.
The representative government of the people of Texas have one law for all our citizens.

However I still resent welfare except for those who truly can not work. I wish I could understand what the FLDS is all about. However I just can't get over the underage sex or turning your son out because you are told to. I believe in thinking for myself & thankfully I am able to do that... I can't understand taking families away from some men & giving them to other men. I don't think I will ever understand it. However I don't hate these people, I just don't agree that it is right. I also want to know how these fathers ever have a chance to spend one on one time with a child when they have so many of them. I don't like seeing children taken from parents. But I also believe that parents don't allow their daughters to be given to older men who have other wives. I know if somebody told me to give my daughter to a man I would fight to the death to protect her.
