I’m thinking more that the anarchist-socialists gathering in the streets in Denver would be more likely to lynch one of the Republican candidates if they had the opportunity.

Best not to send any of the contenders for the ticket into the middle of a political riot.

I don’t know why, but when I picture these two going down there I think of Wally and Beaver Cleaver getting an idea.

...didn’t pay as much attention to the lyrics.

Common enough. Rockers seem to like leaving their lyrics obscure so that anyone who thinks they've figured them out can feel in the know. And the conclusion is always that it's about sex or drugs.

This from someone named 'weegee?' ;-)

I think they're savvy enough to come across well. In fact, this is the first time I can recall the Pubs having a bench not like the cast of Hee Haw.

Re: “I’d guess not. His VP, I’d think, would be someone not in the trenches. Dropping some bombs, maybe, but not in the trenches.”

Now I’m thinking that McCain IS going to do something really risky and name Lieberman as his VP candidate. The others will romp around in Denver but no Joey? Hmmm. Bringing in someone like Lieberman, who supposedly may change to Republican at the convention, points even more to McCain’s “maverick” moniker. He risks losing when all the right wingers refuse to vote but maybe McCain thinks it’s worth it? Who knows?

I just can’t see that McCain would want his nominee running around Denver, anywhere near that convention.

Don't tell Hannity but that's why he was encouraged to go to Denver.

I just hope that's wrong. Lieberman is fine for what he is but he is what he is, ideologically.
