Awesome. These are two of the sexiest women around and among the best athletes around to boot.
In that vein, I wonder what Jennie Finch’s politics are like. She’s the hottest gal to ever compete, and her ERA would make Cy Young winners jealous.

Wait a minute! Didn't the Supreme Court declare a separation of politics and olympics?

I guess you missed the video where Misty May was waving her rear and asked GW to smack it. Bush gave the back of his hand lightly to the small of her back instead but both got a kick out of it.
GW also huddled with the US basketball team before their first game (against yao and china).
Athletes work hard, are successful and thus will generally be republican. Even Venus Williams (single african american females are normally 99 percent democrat) came out for tax cuts and all but endorsed Bush in 2000.

Just saw the final and the thank you to Bush comment on the tube here on the west coast. (I hate these time delays).
Anyway, wonderful, I am glad they did not edit it out for us out here in Granola Head Land.
It has been a wonderful olympics. First Phelps, I absolutely love Shawn Johnson (she is totally America’s sweetheart), and now the beach volleyball team!
Go USA!

I watched it last night live and also saw that. I was wondering how much play it was going to get in the news. I'm not holding my breath. But it was very cool that she was apparently inspired enough that she made a special thanks.
W is a good guy.

I saw it this morning, very cool!
I too am surprised that the NBC folks didn’t spontaneously combust!

When I saw that photo of the President chillin with the USA volleyball women I thought it was awesome. Notice how winners love “Mr. President”? My ex can’t stand him—pure envy. Take that, MSNBC! Now it will be expunged from the network website.
