I don’t think McCain will pick a pro choice.
McCain also reiterated his pro life views
early this morning on a live interview with Laura Ingraham
Congressman Eric Cantor would be great, also Gov. Palin or John Kasich.

And yet everything Viguerie stated in that letter was the truth, from a Conservative’s standpoint.
Now if you are a moderate, you might find some problems with it or might try to shoot the messenger.

Do his Pro-Life views really mean anything after he floated the idea that he was OK with a Pro-Abortion VP?
All of McCain's "principles" are built on a shaky foundation of sand and political convenience.
If they get in the way of him getting more votes, he is more than willing to throw them overboard.

Bill Sammon on fox just said maybe McCain floated the idea of running pro-abortion candidates this week, so that when he sticks romney in there, the pro-lifers won’t be so upset about it.

You have that right! The democrats that voted for McCain in open primaries are what caused Juan to win the early primaries. That swung the momentum and the rest is history.

I know McCain is much more conservative. But, those in the Republican base that won’t vote for McCain because he has insulted them by his maverick tendencies aren’t going to vote for Obama either. They will not vote for either out of principle, even though it ends up helping Obama.

Unfortunately McCain will still cross the aisle to accomplish immigration reform - that naturalizes tens of millions of illegals. Heres hoping the representative Republicans find their spines to play mavericks themselves and hamstring that event.
I've no doubt the heros in the House will. (And they'll be villified for it, just as they were under Bush. Even moreso now, because McAmnesty is not a nice person.) The Senate, however, will cave. Just as they did with McCain-Kennedy.
This will be ugly, no matter what. The only hope is that the economy stays poor for 4 years so it's clear that we cannot afford all these entitlement-attitude people here. Sad that that's our only hope.
To: SoCalPol
McCain is far more conservative than any other candidate running.
Except for 3rd party candidates. McAmnesty and 'conservative' don't belong in the same sentence.
To: SoCalPol; CottonBall
McCain is far more conservative than any other candidate running.Anyone can be "far more conservative" when the other major party's candidate is a full-blown Marxist.
That doesn't necessarily mean that they are in fact conservative, however.

The alternative is more destructive.
McCain can name anyone in a phone book for his VP slot and we'll have to swallow it.
BHO cannot become President of these United States.I agree, but enough of my friends have a temper that it could cause serious problems in a narrow election in swing states like mine.
