Dave Matthews Band performed on Tuesday night in Los Angeles despite the loss The show must go on. I respect them a lot for performing. Took some grit. Good on them. Sorry for the loss.

That man could play a sax. No doubt about it.
God speed, Le Roi.

My son-in-law is a part-time violinist/musician, and a rabid fan of this band. He is in shock and mourning for LeRoi. The man was very talented, and it's a great loss for us all...
RIP LeRoi...

Pulmonary embolism, no doubt. He’d recently suffered trauma from an ATV accident.

Wow...sad. Used to listen to them a lot, always liked his portions of their songs. Regardless of their personal political slants, they did put on a pretty good show with no loud-mouthing. Prayers for the bandmates, too. They always seemed like a really tight-knit band.

He is in shock and mourning for LeRoi.I'm not a big DMB fan, but I have a few friends that are such big fans they travel all over the place to go see them. They're feeling the same way. Not quite like having a family member die, but close. The whole thing is really sad.

Very sad. I’ve seen the band at least 10 times - they’re great live (no pun intended). What a loss!

Matthews is a liberal flake, but man, them boys can play. A real loss. Oh yes, Dave Mathews is the 4th Dixie Chick.
I liked his first CD but everything after that is too busy and each instrument goes in too many differant directions.
But you knew that sax.

Thanks for posting the full thread on this...I’m just in shock. I knew about the accident the day it happened, but I think we all expected LeRoi to get better...he was on his way. What a wonderful talent we’ve lost. Props to DMB for playing last night...the show must go on and all that...but it won’t quite be the same. My sons and I have traveled all over to see them and have, all together, racked up more than 50 shows. Yes, their politics aside (cancelled four old Warehouse memberships over it,agggh), DMB was something that, as a family, we have, over the years, from state to state, traveled and enjoy together.
LeRoi didn’t always appear in the band’s music videos, but this classic, with the surprise of LeRoi smiling at the very end, always made me smile too. RIP LeRoi.
