Obama will also be in Martinsville, but from what we can tell Kaine won't be with him tomorrow. He'll be with him on Thursday.

So could it be Jim Webb? Obama did say he makes his announcement on Wednesday. Rick Boucher makes no sense and if it's Nunn, seems like Obama would be in Georgia for that.

There's a lot of rumors swirling about Kaine. Saying that he had a "plan of succession meeting" etc.
If it's a Virginian it's Kaine. Webb's a hothead and says he didn't want it. Warner, while he'll be the Senator, dropped out of the White House race because of the skeletons in his closet.
I just don't know if it could be Kaine. He's failed on transportation, failed on the budget and made a fool out of himself saying that Russia bowed to Obama's request. I honestly can't see how he's anything but a liability.

Sen. Barack Obama has added a Lynchburg appearance with Sen. Jim Webb One can hope that all of Falwell's young disciples at Liberty U show up to express how they feel about the Magic Negro's position on abortion.

Another attempt to peel off that young, evangelical vote at Liberty U. the drive-by’s claim is happening. We’ll see how that works out in the end.

I dont think it’s Hillary. The RATS are afraid that having Hillary on the ticket will galvanize GOP voters and bring them to the polls in droves.

Maybe we want to run against him afterall. Oh, the House GOP leadership has already started with ~not quite~ calling for him to step down if he's picked. After all "who will lead the state through this financial crisis if the governor is off campaigning?"
I think Virginia Republicans gain if Kaine is the Veep.
To: Corin Stormhands
If Obama chooses Kaine, would Kaine be required to stop down from the governorship during the campaign? Doesn’t Virginia have a Republican lieutenant governor who would take over?

Kaine wouldn't
have to step down to run. But it would give the GOP a whole pile of ammunition to run against him.
All that being said, it may indeed be Kaine. I'd not thought through the connection of Obama adding an appearance at John Tyler Community College in Chester tomorrow.
John Tyler was the last Virginian to be VP. (and later President)
Either it's a clue, or an elaborate smoke screen to throw us off the trail.

Does anyone know where Kaine was born and raised?

I think he was born in Minnesota (or one of those northern midwest states). He grew up in Kansas.

I think the John Tyler connection is a little too much inside baseball for the masses.
I think it might be Kaine. They like each other. Kaine was one of the first people to endorse the big O. Why would the big O spend 2 days in Virginia if not to announce the VP? That’s a lot of time in one state right before the convention.
To: Maelstorm
Oh geesh. Why would they be campaigning there? Lynchburg is like a little piece of Utah. Ding. Ding. We have a winner. It's not black folks who are leaving Obama in droves.

I think the John Tyler connection is a little too much inside baseball for the masses. And an odd connection at that. Considering that 1) Tyler became President only because Harrison died in office and 2) Tyler was a leader of the Confederacy.

He is also very inexperienced which is Obama’s problem as well.
