I wonder if Michelle hasn’t jumped the shark. She’s beginning to sound old and bitter.

Since when did telling the truth make one sound "old and bitter"? Statements like that make you sound like a democrat.

I personally like McCain.

Lindsey? Is that you?

I understand there are a lot of conservatives who don't like him.

Try most.

He's certainly not perfect and farther from perfect then are a lot of other Republicans...

The first true statement you've made so far

...but there are things to like about the man.

ROFLMAO. Now you're reaching. Name one or two.

If nothing else I have to respect his service...

You mean graduating in the bottom 1% of his USNA class or being bumped into the highly competetive figher pilot program because his daddy was an admiral?

...and his decisiveness.

You mean the way he decisively supported abortion before he opposed it? Or maybe you mean the way he decisively pushed for illegal alien amnesty before opposing it? The way he decisively opposed strict constructionist judges before supporting them? Or, the way he decisively opposed the Bush tax cuts before supporting them?

Thanks for the laugh. But, if you want your mug from MacCain party central, you'll have to try harder.

Oh really? Michelle used to be a favorite of mine. Not anymore and it’s just my opinion.

I personally don't judge that kind of thing too harshly. People naturally and rightly desire to help people they know. That's a part of human nature that I don't think will be defeated here and now.

In any case I think it's probably clear that McCain isn't the only person who's father advanced his career. I don't hold that against them either. That's how a world run by humans works.

I decisively supported abortion before I opposed it. What does that mean, I'm not really decisvely pro-life?

Or maybe you mean the way he decisively pushed for illegal alien amnesty before opposing it? The way he decisively opposed strict constructionist judges before supporting them? Or, the way he decisively opposed the Bush tax cuts before supporting them?

Well maybe you're right on some of that but people do change. The man I see is someone I can support but even if you don't like him I think that, at a minimum, McCain is such a far lesser evil then Obama is that every conservative leaning mind sould consider supporting him.

Thanks for the laugh. But, if you want your mug from MacCain party central, you'll have to try harder.

I'm not crazy about the guy, I'm saying I like him. I like his stand on national security, first and formost, and I believe he will pick a pro-life VP and appoint pro-life justices and will be worlds apart from Obama on taxes. I think he'll be moderate on environmentalist BS with a balnce towards the economy.

I respect his position on enhanced interrogation techniques even though I don't know if I agree with him (I mean he was tortured so I wouldn't argue the point with him). I can't argue with you about immigration but, of course, Obama is certainly not going to be any better. Oh and I definately don't like the McCain-Feingold thing either...that sounds like a violation of the 1st amendment. My first choice for nominee was Huckabee (Fair Tax) followed by Pual. McCain was my third choice out of the field. I did not care too greatly for Guiliani and was mixed on Romney (business success, I think, is strong).

I personally don't judge that kind of thing[One's daddy helping one get into the USNA and later into fighter pilot school] too harshly. People naturally and rightly desire to help people they know. That's a part of human nature that I don't think will be defeated here and now.

Nevertheless, then, citing his attendance at the USNA and enrollment in fighter pilot school is at best a wash and shows a man incapable of achieving greatness without friend's in high places; a man, in short, little more than a sock puppet.

In any case I think it's probably clear that McCain isn't the only person who's father advanced his career. I don't hold that against them either. That's how a world run by humans works.

By no means don't, but don't be upset when there's no courage and leadership (at least on the behalf of conservatives) forthcoming.
