Thanks! As one who has never, ever had to worry about flying in any sort of winter conditions I’m pretty ignorant of such details. I have seen some limited icing conditions as a result of thunderstorms, but I stay so far away from those it doesn’t really count.

Calm down. The pilot had plenty of experience. He was even aerobatics pilot. It premature to put the blame on anyone. At 12,000 feet oxygen could be a factor.
