Good one.
“Ridin around in Jon Voight’s car”........
That's my position as well. It just so happens that the Republican party more represents my values and convictions than does the Democrat party.
Sure, there are some conservative Democrats and some liberal Republicans. However, as we saw in 2006, a vote for a Democrat, however "conservative", led to the election of two bungling fools as Majority Leader and Speaker of the House (and Stimpy Hoyer). A vote for a liberal Republican still led to the much better duo of Frist and Hastert (or at least to the possibility of something better, like perhaps McConnell and Boehner, though I'd rather have someone like Pence, Hensarling, or Gingrey).

Yup. Anyone who votes for a Democrat is enabling the Leftists to push their agendas.
I like Ben Nelson of Nebraska and used to like Evan Bayh. But, Ben voted for Harry Reid and Evan Bayh is moving even further left to gain favor in his party and perhaps secure a VP slot.
Joe Liebermann is a liberal who’s strong on defense...but he caucuses with the Dems and gives us Harry Reid.
