I sure hope we are sending some good stuff with them to knock out those Russki planes and tanks. I would not be surprised if we give them some of our good weapons to use.

Depends on the speed of the Red Army’s march to Georgia’s capital.

So we and all other free democracies just sit around and watch the clock?

Yeah, basically. The jerks in charge will just write nasty letters. The UN will conduct a vote and it will somehow condemn Israel. Bush will get mealymouthed and send Condolezza Rice to surrendur a third of Georgia. McCain will support attacking Russia, but sending all their prisoners through our court system. Obama will just sob quietly in a corner.

"I sure hope we are sending some good stuff with them to knock out those Russki planes and tanks. I would not be surprised if we give them some of our good weapons to use." Yes, with the proper lethal 'toyz', the battle-tested-from-Iraq-deployment Georgian troops can go all Afghan on the Ruskies and if not drive them out, then at least make them ask themselves how much fun they're having experiencing in Georgia, what the Georgians experienced in Iraq. I'm sure the Georgians learned a thing or two from their time in Iraq that can make the Ruskies re-occupation attempt of Georgia no cake-walk.

The chess game continues. The opposition must now calculate the odds as to whether or not the returning troops brought any souvenirs home and show off to their friends.
To: Repeal The 17th
The chess game continues. What chess game? There isn't one. Russia is attacking, steadily moving forward and Georgia is retreating. They've already asked for a ceasefire and Russia won't talk to them.
Nobody's helping Georgia, and there isn't any grand "strategery" going on.
To: Lijahsbubbe
Through rooskie eyes, the world map has always looked like a chess board.
