Mr. Baron, who was chairman of Mr. Edwards’ presidential campaign finance committee, said he paid money for Rielle Hunter to move from North Carolina to another location. Wanna bet the came from the campaign funds? Probably well laundered, but from the campaign "war chest" originally.

It’s a truism in politics and the public eye that you want to get all the bad news out there at once. You don’t want the constant drip drip drip of more leaks and more revelations making things worse. I figured he went public now to get this out of the way for the Dem. convention coming up. We’ll see............

Wanna bet the came from the campaign funds? Well you can rely on this. If Mr. Baron as Chairman of Edwards campaign drew a salary at all you couldn't attribute his payment to Ms. Hunter as anything else but coming from the campaign.
In reverse if he gave money to people to make a campaign contribution (which would exceed the legal max) it would legally be construed to have come from him.

Once he admitted to having the affair, the honorable thing would be been to claim the child, and perhaps any other children of hers with no father on the birth certificate. He has now thrown her under the bus.

Doesn’t this put the lie to the spin I’ve been hearing all afternoon that this is a private matter between Edwards and his family? If he may have paid her off with campaign funds, this is not a private matter.
The sympathy I’ve heard expressed today on the talk shows and TV interviews for that scumbag Edwards is nauseating.
