In Tampa they have a report of more accidents caused by people overinflating the tires to get better mileage. You get a bigger diameter of the tire and less revolutions per mile but the tires blow out.
To: All
I think if your over inflate your tires and hit a bump, your car will be
airborn.

All I know is that most US exports go to Puerto Rico and other US entities.
This BS the moonbats tout that we export all our oil to the “World Market” is just so much pap...

And exactly what are the parameters that make a tire "under-inflated?" My car monitors tire pressure and a warning light comes on if a tire in underinflated. However, there is a range for tire inflcation and the light doesn't come on until the lower end of the range is reached.
In any event, we can't inflate our way out of this crisis.

Do you have a linked source for that assertion? Does that cover just the US or the entire world? We use about 21 million bbls of oil a day, which means that we could save about 20% of our oil consumption. That is pure nonsense. Whoops I did make a mistake. Here is the figure from google.
The U.S. Department of Energy says that Americans waste 3.56 million gallons of gas or $14.2 million in gas a day at $4 a gallon due to tire pressure. For every penny increase in the gas price, an additional $35,600 is lost in low tire pressure gas loss in America.

Not being mentioned anywhere. You over inflate your tires you knock the crap out of your shocks. That will cost you big time compared to the minuscule gas savings.
