10 ears ago, when George Ryan left the office and ran for governor, the Secretary of State office was a cesspool of corruption and graft, with a long history of bribes and other socially acceptable behavior for public payroll types.
But, in the 10 years since Jesse White took over, there has not been a hint of scandal or corruption. At least, nothing has been reported in the media. It seems like all the really evil payrollers who used to sell driver licenses and engage in other terrible things suddenly disappeared.
It's a miracle. Jesse White should be riding on top of the back seat of an open convertible in every parade in Illinois, and held up as a role model for all young people who aspire to public service.
And yet, most people outside the state of Illinois have never heard of him. But they have heard of Baraq Obama.

Can you imagine him holding onto his good-luck charms as he “negotiates” during a nuclear stand-off with Iran?
He spent it all on Europeans, meanwhile, Americans noticed where he wants to spend their money as well.
