Exactly, that's why Tancredo made the remark last year that he wasn't sure the votes were there to stop it in the House if it passed the Senate, because the dems had control. I recall that being said although if he made a similar one in 2006 when the GOP was in charge I'd love to see a link.
You are correct that they would be very pleased as they continued voting for the democrats en masse.
