Hmm unless I’m wrong the new electronic ignitions etc dont exactly get tune ups anymore. Certainly not like in the old days.
But...once again...it is NOT satire!! He says SO many DUMB things nowdays—it is VERY hard to tell anymore!!
As for the “tune up” part— I wonder if he is aware that GM, and other automakers seem to be moving to be moving EN MASSE, towards DFI, or “direct fuel injection” in the next few years. With such a system—there is VERY little to “tune up” on a regular basis.
For that matter— PFI, or “port fuel injection”, which has been on nearly EVERY car and truck for over 20 years now, and distributorless ignition, which has been around since 1983, have pretty much ELIMINATED the ‘tune up” today.
But I doubt the Antichrist has any idea of that "useless knowledge".
That is why I posted the picture, because of the flat tire.
I think there was just a tad bit of sarcasm in that post.

That’s a fact. There is in effect a robot in there watching the engine functions and adjusting everything all the time. About all that can happen is the seals break down eventually.

We’re very disappointed in our econobox we just bought. My husband got in a wreck and totaled our mustang that had been paid off for 6 years. We go out and replace it with an 07 Mazda 6 that was advertised as getting 32 mpg on the highway. My husband drives almost all highway to work and has kept a log and the car gets 25 mpg. We could have gotten an 07 mustang that gets almost that.
It costs us $69 to fill up our new little econobox and when we bought our Yukon XL in 04, it cost $60 to fill up. It now costs more to fill up that little 4 cyclinder than it did 4 years ago to fill up that big gas hog. When we’re all riding mopeds, we will still be getting told we need to cut back.
How about if we eat some kidney beans and sour kraut and stick our but*s out the back window of our cars. The flatulence should be good for 1 or 2 extra MPGs for sure.
