It’s YOU that doesn’t believe the source

What source is that, Dan? There's been NO primary document citation or link given for the undated fake quote.

Josue Portillo, 61, left, says he saw a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy shoot his son, 35-year-old Christian Portillo, in his driveway in Lennox on Wednesday night. At right is Melina Hernandez, 34, cousin of Christian Portillo. The Sheriff's Department says he was shot when he "quickly reached under his seat."

Portillo, then 44, and neighbors besieged deputies with phone calls about 11p.m. complaining of hearing gunshots and a fight.

As deputies talked on 911 lines, they could hear the shots in the background.

Deputies found 100 to 150 people at the Portillo house. The father met the officers and pointed out a young man he said did not belong there.

When Deputy Terry Brown walked over to talk to the man, he was jumped from behind by Leonidas Portillo, then 20.

Another deputy pulled Leonidas Portillo off Brown, but he became involved in a fistfight with Christian Portillo, then 18. Christian Portillo suffered a gash on his face when he was hit with a flashlight.

Their father, who had called the police in the beginning, then joined his sons in the scuffle against the deputies.

The sheriff’s should have waited until the gangbanger opened fire on them. We wouldn’t want to upset the druggies.

Can we legalize bank robberies while we are at it...

Already done, but only for the IRS, DHS, OCC, OTS, DEA, etc., etc.

Federal and state agencies and regulators can rob banks with impunity.

"But the fact remains that it is illegal, same as robbing a bank.

And law enforcement officers are employed for one primary purpose..."law enforcement."

Whether you agree or disagree with what happened, don't blame the police for doing their jobs. Take it up with your elected officials if you want the law changed or eliminated.

Probably because they were baby boomers or younger.

And the WW II generation gave us Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, and other "New Deal" and "Great Society" programs.

Which is (are) the greater crime(s)?

“Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man’s appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.”

"The contention that Mr. Lincoln ever said what is attributed to him in the paragraph numbered (1) is absolutely without justification. The statement never came to light until a local option election in Atlanta, Ga., long after the war, when it was used to influence the Negro vote. Various liquor men of prominence, including Mr. Tom Gilmore of the National Model License League, have admitted that there is no record of Mr. Lincoln's having made this statement, and Nicolay and Hay, his great biographers, have pronounced it spurious."

Which hallucinogen?

Knowledge and experience.

They are particularly dangerous in combination.

Sounds like a dangerous mood-altering drug to me.

Fire yourself and turn yourself in.

It ain’t just Florida. Bought allergy medicine lately? Gave them your ID so the info will be collected and then passed onto the DEA who will decide whether or not your allergies are too severe? We’re all suspects now

Try getting pain meds for a kidney stone.........dealing with the Bravo Sierra hurts worse than the stone

Right. The perps looked her up in the small time dealer directory.

The fact that she's an unknown buyer in the big time dealer directory is enough to mark her as a cop fink

And this gives the cops the right to kill him defenseless in his car 15 YEARS LATER HOW? Yes a shining example to cops everywhere. Spare me, would you? He was killed defenseless at 35, the other crime happened when he was a kid. Nice try though (not)
