“BERLIN (Reuters) - German police detained a motorist on Wednesday who crashed through barricades set up at monument where Barack Obama will hold a speech on Thursday and dumped red paint from his speeding car.”

Geesh, danger surrounds this guy.

Probably has some terminal disease and just knows if he can touch the Obamessiah, he can be healed. It was an audacious hope.

I’d wager good money it was about politics.
McCain’s oil rig venture was scrubbed. I suggest he fly to D.C. and visit Arlington cemetery and the holocaust Museum for “counter-programming” Obama’s German visit.

Timing, as they say, is everything. On the other hand, how can this be? Senator Obama is adored throughout the civilized world (and the uncivilized world, as well). This must have nothing to do with Senator Obama’s scheduled visit.

He’s in the doghouse. And should stay there.
There’s bi-partisan support for that.

What a dope, he should have waited until Obama was there.
Shame on me.

(I had almost forgotten that McCain is the nominee. Too bad I was reminded.)

Maybe he recalls another charismatic orator that rose to power and feels compelled stop him.

Is that the `Victory Column’ in the background?
I’m thinking it should be re-named. Suggestions?
Anyone? Buehler? Col. Klink? Sgt. Schultz?
