Will they be impressed with how he is ignoring the advice of generals and deliberately dissed the military accomplishments in the surge and is willing to put political expediency ahead of our national security.

Heh, but if a soldier likes pomp and circumstance, he’ll get their votes.

I think Obama will be getting the votes from Hollywood as the guy who can *play* being President, so long as he is fed good dialog lines by Axelrod Productions.

My gut feeling is that this whole over the top tour is going to backfire. The guy looks like an idiot, and I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering, “Who on earth paid for that expensive custom paint job on the Obama jet?”

Arrogant, presumptuous (play-acting at President and acting like a President before he is one), cult-like followers, staging a Nuremberg-like-rally in Germany (Triumph of the Axelrod!), willing to spend taxpayer dollars on campaign junket, Obamedia that goes over-the-top, catering to Europeans... Obama is "we are the world" instead of "proud to be an American" ... All the adulation overseas only further impresses this unhealthy view of what an American leader should be.

And yet reality is: He is wrong on Iraq, wrong on the surge and even now won't realyl admit it, wrong on how to win in Iraq, wrong on how to deal with Iran, wrong and too pandering and grovelling on Palestinian issues, and in general out of his league when it comes to showing American strength. Great pop star, lousy President.
