"Perhaps the outspoken Israeli press corps will be able to do what their fawning American counterparts have failed to do so far. Obama's visit this week to Israel will be an opportunity to begin asking the tough questions -- however unpolitically correct -- about his apparently forged birth certificate and what that means for his citizenship status and Constitutional fitness to be the next leader of the free world."

Better to have people think you might be out of your league than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
To: Red Steel
Mayhap it would help if he were conversant in a foreign language? Merci beaucoup.

Obama is afraid of getting a question without a teleprompter.

...stem from arrogance at "being so close to power." Their first problem is thinking he HAS any power, unless they are referring to his super-hero status. The press has the audacity of curiosity, and maybe Barry fears one of them will attempt to "speak truth to power" like discussing his lineage and birth record.

This is Obama’s strategy: limit access by the press and have your campaign controlled to cause the maximum visual effect. This latest chapter in his campaign is to limit any possibility that Obama would stumble from questions from the press. It is a photo op on steroids.

“refusal to answer questions from foreign journalists stems from a certain wariness about the risk of speaking to foreign media and how it can resonate back in America”
The foreign media might ask the hard questions that the American MSM won’t ask for fear of making him look unqualified. Obama’s campaign is choreography without substance. Whenever that gets pointed out, they’ll respond with accusations of racism and ‘swiftboating’.

Let me put it to you simply, Europe. His superior arrogant highness is chicken. He isn’t be able to ad-lib answers to your questions. So, you don’t exist.

Has Obama held an open press conference to the general press to answers reporter questions?
I'm still waiting.
To: Red Steel
Even liberals should be concerned about this behavior. Portent of things to come should this man enter the White House? Probably. Combined with the contempt of the US media for the ‘little people’, one wonders if another Waco is in the future if Obama is in the White House, especially with a Democrat Congress.
To: Red Steel
Which begs the question, just what is this trip for exactly?
I guess no journos over there find it odd.

We know the US media is in the tank with Obama. The media entourage that follows him are too happy fawning over him. And if they did get a hair up their @ss, which I doubt, some media sycophant may ask a tough question. But they won’t rock the boat in fear that the “Messiah” may not grant them access to him by kicking that LSM person to the curb by defying the unsaid rule.
To: Red Steel
The Israeli press will not be able to ask him any questions because hewill ignore them also.

"Are there ANY worldwide examples of a foreign journalist saying, Heeyyyyyyy. Wait a second here. This doesnt add up. If you've been observing the reporting on the Petraeus strategy in Iraq, you'll note that 90% of the positive reporting comes via international journalists, particularly British by-lines. CBS doen't even HAVE reporters in Iraq (except for Hail Obama Week).
