LBJ was too effective of an arm twister. Barack has been anointed. FDR was smarter and probably more dishonest but he was effective in getting what he wanted regardless of the Constitution and the people loved him.

Why did you cut out JFK? He was a media created image, not particularly effective in real terms, dishonest, willing to bring us the the brink of nuclear war because of his arrogance and lack of experience (the Cuban Missile Crisis didn’t happen the way we were taught). I suppose you could cut him out of the comparison because he was a drug addict and a chronic womanizer while in office. I don’t think those last 2 apply to Barack.

He said the objective of the trip was to "hold substantive discussions" with national leaders "who [sic]I expect to be dealing with over the next eight to ten years".

He added: "It's important for me to have a relationship with them early."

IF the pencil-necked B. Hussein Osama in fact made such a statement, then he is a certifiable headbanger and thus, it follows ineluctably, has set the stage for an emergency, anticipatory exercise of Article 4 of the 25th Amendment. Clearly, B. Hussein Osama has assumed, been granted, or otherwise arrogated unto himself many of the trappings and indicia of - The President. Now, in what can only be seen as a messianic prophesy, he has told us that he WILL be -- The President. While the drafters of the 25th Amendment may not have contemplated the present situation, it is clear that nothing in the text of Article 4 prohibits its application against a FUTURE President, particularly when he is already a totally delusional headbanger. While this indeed may be a difficult Constitutional case of first impression, our liberty and national sanity demand immediate action. Vice President Cheney, an anxious Nation awaits your decision.

This is very dangerous and sly position by Obama. Republicans ignore its genius at their peril.

What makes you think he will be out of office in 10 years?

The way everybody is just lying down and letting him walk all over them makes me think that HE thinks he can be President for life.

Demanding this and that, making promises to everybody, including those who can’t vote for him in the first place - this jerk’s ego knows no bounds.

When is he going to be brought back down to earth? He reminds me of Huey Long who was the King of Corruption.

“Visiting Kabul on the first stop of his first major overseas trip since winning the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, Mr Obama described conditions in Afghanistan as “precarious and urgent”.

Is this a quote from CBS? If so, are they aware that he has NOT won the nomination yet? Or are they just skipping over the convention altogether and declaring him the winner?

If so, it seems that Obama is not the only one who is supremely arrogant and presumptuous.

Oh that’s going to go over big with his leftist base!

Aren’t they wild about him b/c he has promised to end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home?

How is deploying them right back to Afghanistan “bringing them home”?

"He hasn’t already had his national security people draw up plans?"

His 300 foreign policy advisors are tied up trying to find a Nazi-free monument in Germany with good acoustics..

He was no more dangerous back in the 20’s and 30’s than Obama is today.

I won’t say any more either except that what happened to him was inevitable.

If you notice, most tyrants come to a bad end. Very few of them meet their end while peacefully in bed.

Mr Obama has placed defeating the Taliban and al-Qaeda at the centre of his foreign policy.

Makesme wonder if Obama is allied with some other branch of islam.

To people like Barak, the Constitution means nothing to them.. Why do I have a feeling that if elected Barak would do something to “suspend” the Constitution???

Because communists don't want to be the loyal opposition. They want absolute power and see Barack as the vehicle to it.

Why does he need 300 people to advise him on foreign policy???? I think 3 or 4 is good enough.
